Work Exchange
At Living Wisdom School Seattle, we explore options to help make the gift of an Education for Life experience available to children and families, regardless of their ability to pay the regular tuition.
There is an application process to assess need, involving a formal 3rd party screening process, and when appropriate, we offer a reduced tuition, in exchange for scheduled and structured assistance of one or both parents at the school.
Some of the work exchange options might be:
*to help out at the Living Wisely Thrift and Gift store, located 11/2 miles from the school
*to teach a regular and needed enrichment class
*to do routine maintence
*to head up or help with various committees for our fundraising events
*to work in a computer technical capacity as needed
*other possibilities as fits the individual skills and commitments of the family needing the assistance.
Volunteers Welcomed!
We always welcome volunteer assistance in an number of different areas, including many of the work exchange options above and also help with:
* community outreach
*classroom “Moms”for each class
*field trip chaperoning
*one-on-one student tutoring
And there are many other opportunities for volunteer involvement.
